More Information On The Top 2 of Muskegon County’s Most Dangerous Intersections
No. 1: US 31 @ SHERMAN BLVD, Muskegon
Although (thankfully) it did not make the list for 2021, this busy area east of Muskegon claimed the No. 1 spot for the most dangerous intersection in Muskegon County in 2022.
It was #1 on the list for 2020.
However, there is good news to report: Total crashes at this interchange were 38 in 2022, which is a dip from 43 crashes in 2020 and a significant drop from the 64 crashes in 2019.
As we see many intersections on these lists across the state that are freeway on and off ramps, drivers should continue to use caution when entering and exiting US 31.
No. 2: HARVEY ST @ STERNBERG RD, Fruitport Township
Total crashes at this intersection dipped from 36 in 2021 to 35 in 2022. However, they have increased 52% from 23% in 2020.
