Client Testimonials

Lynda Nunez, Riverview, MI

After interviewing four different lawyers, Steven Gursten of Michigan Auto Law stood out amongst them as the guy to go to for several reasons.

My husband was killed in an automobile accident involving a gravel hauler truck on the freeway. The left front steer tire of the gravel hauler blew on I-75 near the Rouge River bridge, and the truck hit my husband’s car, trapping him between the retaining wall and the gravel hauler.

It became apparent that I needed to seek out an attorney. After interviewing four different lawyers, Steven Gursten of Michigan Auto Law stood out amongst them as the guy to go to for several reasons. There was a genuine nature about Steve. He was exceptionally easy to talk with and an incredible listener. Of course his knowledge and the know how to get the job done was apparent. He treated me with a real sense of kindness as an individual and not a potential case.

Steve settled my husband’s case out of court so I didn’t have to go through a trial. Throughout the whole process, Steve went above and beyond my expectations in terms of his hard work to uncover the truths of the matter and all of the things the trucking company did that were unsafe and contributed to the accident.

Steve treated me with a lot of respect. He responded to my questions and phone calls very promptly. I never felt like he was in a hurry to get me off the phone. He listened to everything I had to say all the time. In terms of when I had to give my deposition, he prepared me and was next to me every step of the way. That was also the case when I had to go to court before the judge for the settlement. It made me feel very safe. Steve gave me confidence and the strength to get up there and do what I had to do. He did so much research and he explored every possible avenue to get me the best settlement possible. He worked very hard for me.

Along the way, he kept me informed of the status of everything. I would say if anybody is involved in an automobile accident involving trucks or other commercial vehicles, to not hesitate to contact Steve. You will not be let down. If you’ve done your homework and investigated attorneys, Steve is the obvious right choice. I walked out of his office knowing it was a no-brainer decision to go with him. It was the right thing to do for my family, in the wake of such a terrible accident and traumatic time in our lives. I felt it in my heart, and I was right. Another thing I would like to note is that even after the case was closed, Steve is still here for me with advice and all the time I need.

I'm an attorney, but I do not handle litigation and/or auto cases. My mother was struck by a vehicle while walking, and her injuries were catastrophic. I contacted Steve to determine how to proceed, to understand how I could best help and advocate for my mom as she moved through various phases of medical treatment, followed by in and out-patient rehab, and ultimately, hopefully back home with attendant care. I also wanted to understand the pitfalls, and biggest risks (financial and otherwise) my mom would face as we proceeded. I called Steve with the intent of hiring him to handle our case, having heard through the legal community that he had a reputation of having the finest ethics, professionalism, aggressiveness as needed, while also having compassion and patience with his clients and families. Steve proved to have all those attributes and more. Steve gave me a great deal of time during our consultation(s), and invaluable information on what our family could expect and how it made sense for us to proceed legally under our circumstances. Steve was confident I could handle the matter with the third party insurance carrier and did NOT need a lawyer - he was convinced this was a matter that I could handle and did not want to accept payment even though I was prepared to pay him. He stood by me behind the scenes and guided me as needed, and was readily available to answer questions. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, detailed oriented, direct, communicative and available, and simply pleasant to deal with under horrible circumstances. Our case is not over, and I still may need Steve's services in the future. He is, with absolute certainty, the first lawyer to call in case of an auto accident. I'd recommend him with the highest praise for his intelligence, communication, compassion and thorough assistance in our family's time of crisis.

My eyes are opened about the real cost of distracted driving after hearing an informative talk by Steven. He presented facts in a way I could relate and I found myself planning changes even before he finished his presentation. One big take away for me is that it starts with the parents. We need to model the behavior for our children--if I text and drive or fiddle with my phone or enter an address in Waze or chat on the phone--my kids will likely do the same. It's only been one day--but I know I'll be safer and my kids will be safer after Steven's passionate, smart, digestible, presentation.

I have already installed apps on my phone to protect my family when I am driving, but will encourage others to do the same. Mr. Gursten's presentation was informative, influential and jaw dropping. I have seen first hand how much attention he gives each and every client who hires him. In fact, Steve has been an invited faculty member at dozens of legal seminars, and also organizes legal programs. Steven Gursten has a well earned national reputation as one of the premier plaintiff civil trial attorneys in the U.S. I have personally worked with both Steven and his law firm on behalf of two clients on separate cases wherein the individual resided in Florida but was injured in Michigan. He is a phenomenal lawyer and an even better person. His staff is equally a pleasure to deal with and the law firm is simply a first class operation. Steven was very attentive to my client's needs and he made certain that this was an easy process for them. I would not hesitate to recommend Steven Gursten or his law firm to anyone who has been physically injured due to the negligence exhibited by an individual or corporation. Steve is known as a pre-eminent trial lawyer, but I was surprised at just how humble and pleasant he is in our dealings. "Steve Gursten is simply one of the best lawyers in the country. Steve cares tremendously about his clients and helping people. I have seen first hand how much attention he gives each and every client who hires him. Steve is also a leading teacher who trains fellow trial lawyers throughout the country on how to best help their clients and maximize their case results. In fact, Steve has been an invited faculty member at dozens of legal seminars, and also organizes legal programs. Steve and his team at Michigan Auto Law have secured record truck and automobile crash case results, both jury verdicts and settlements, for many years. In fact, Steve recently obtained one of the largest trucking settlements in the country ($34,000,000). If you or an injured family member is considering hiring Steve and his firm, I strongly suggest that you let them help. You will will be impressed with their skills, knowledge, dedication, care, and honesty."

Finally, this is the lawyer you call when your dealing with a defendant with unlimited resources. I was waiting at a red light and somebody in a truck hit me. I was put in the emergency room and Michigan Auto Law was recommended to me as the firm to handle car accident cases. Picked up my case and won my case. The most important thing that people have to understand is from the beginning to the end, they fought for me. They went up and beyond in keeping up with my e-mails and calls. If I had left a message, they always responded back. They always encouraged me and offered patience. People like myself don't understand anything about the law, and they explained the technicalities to me. Michigan Auto Law always kept that personal relationship with me as their client. In the beginning, I even talked to the owner of the firm, Steven Gursten. He was always available as well. That was a big highlight and reassured me my case was covered on all fronts. They always made us feel positive with what was going on with the case while I was healing from my surgeries. I think Michigan Auto Law is the law firm to go to, because they get the results.
Heather Gillespie from Bloomfield Hills
I was stopped at a red light. And, out of nowhere, I was rear-ended at about 50 miles an hour. I needed to get a car accident lawyer. I went to one of my close family friends, who happens to be a partner at one of the largest defense firms in the Detroit area. He told me that Steven Gursten of Michigan Auto Law was the best. My first impression of Michigan Auto Law was that everyone was very laid back, warm and friendly. I felt comfortable there right away. In my auto accident, I broke my neck and damaged both my shoulders and my jaw; resulting in multiple surgeries to fuse my neck. I was ultimately fighting my own auto insurance company because the individual that hit me didn't have good insurance. If it wasn't for Steve, on the phone with them every single day, I sometimes wonder if I'd even be where I'm at right now. Not only did Steve answer my questions, but he answered all of my family's questions and concerns. I've referred him to strangers already. I'm more than satisfied with the resolution of my case and my personal injury settlement. Steve went out of his way to try to get to know you on a personal level, so he could fight for you, and your well-being, not just the accident lawsuit.
Dee Heintz from Harrison Township
Our lawyer that we first had referred us to Mr. Gursten. He was concerned that our case was a little bit above himself and he knew Steve, having an excellent reputation for car accident lawsuits, would be a big help for us. The first time I ever talked to Steve, he sounded like a professional, and even though we started speaking over phone several times, he handled us like he had known us for a long time. He really walked us through what needed to be done and how to talk to the people at the depositions. He helped us immensely. The response in the office was unbelievable. When we talked to two secretaries and paralegals in particular, they were right away to handle us with kid gloves. I mean, they literally helped us through everything and were attentive to whatever we needed. Being unfamiliar with what was to happen after my auto accident, they let us know the steps to go through and really made it easy on us. We literally sat back and let them do the work. The settlement results went beyond my expectations. I can't thank Steve enough for what he has done for my wife and family, and for our future. I highly recommend him to anybody, anybody. And I'm a respectable guy, so, you know, when I say something to somebody, they know I mean it.

I was going to work down U.S. 23 toward M-59 and a teenage girl on her phone turned in front of me. My car was totaled and I was taken away in an ambulance. After the crash, my mom found Michigan Auto Law online, and said this law firm was the best to go for car accidents. It was the first time I ever had to get a lawyer for something like this and I'm raving. From the first point of contact, I was hooked. Michigan Auto Law was a really nice law firm. Really professional. I had a great lawyer. He was always on top of things. I honestly thought this was going to be a way longer and drawn out process, but it ended up resolving quickly. Anytime I gave my car accident lawyer a call, he would always give me a call back. He kept me posted on things and he'd tell me things that I didn't even know yet. I had peace of mind because of the way he handled my case. A couple times, I was really stressed out because the insurance company was trying to cut off my no fault benefits. He put a stop to that. I still have a ton of Michigan Auto Law cards that I pass out all the time.
Felicia Jackson from Eastpointe
I previously had an experience with a bad attorney, so when I was hit by an oil tanker, I was worried maybe my new lawyer wouldn't be attentive or even pay attention to me. But I found the exact opposite with Michigan Auto Law, specifically, Steve Gursten. Steve is very nice and attentive. For as busy as he is running a large law firm, he always takes time for me and I feel he genuinely cares about my well being. He always answers my questions too. Steve and the Michigan Auto Law staff have been tremendous, even in helping with my wage loss. I appreciate services thus far and I will recommend them to someone that seeks services for truck accidents or car accidents.
Angela Fini from Milford
I knew that I needed an auto accident attorney that really knew the law. And they had to be STRONG to go after a big corporation. I also knew that if I didn't find the right attorney, my family and I would lose our home and be living on the streets in a box - no exaggeration. At least 25 attorneys started calling me out of the woodwork after my car crash. I'm not sure how they all found me. Fortunately, I was referred to Michigan Auto Law by my psychologist when I was looking for a better law firm. They are superheroes. Steve Gursten is a big-time trial lawyer. I nicknamed him Superman - Clark Kent by day (the nicest guy you could ever meet), and Superman in the court room. And Lenny Koltonow is like the wise owl.
Rhonda Searfoss from Gladwin
I was overwhelmed with my settlement. It was way more than expected. Steve Gursten, my best lawyer, got my one cry in 20 years when he called me with the good news (I was in the middle of shopping at Walmart when I broke down crying I was so happy). Even my former attorney was surprised by the auto accident settlement. When I first met Steve, I felt immediate trust. I felt like I'd known him for years. He always made me feel like a priority - even calling me on Sundays. He always takes the time to be there, calling to answer questions and just to see if everything is going okay. I recommend Steve and Michigan Auto Law highly. He's a very nice guy, down to earth and a very caring person that works hard for you.
Tony Harris from Newaygo
My lawyer Steve Gursten came into my life under the most devastating circumstances. One day, my girlfriend was driving to pick me up from work when she ran out of gas on I-75. As she was putting gas in her car on the side of the highway, a semi-truck veered from its lane and hit and killed her. My deceased girlfriend's family was not satisfied with the money the insurance adjuster was offering following the truck accident, so I called Michigan Auto Law to see if there were more No-Fault benefits available for her children. Steve Gursten looked tirelessly for more insurance and he did it out of kindness - he didn't charge me a dime. I appreciated that so much. Steve also treated me with dignity and he was always there to answer my questions. I would recommend this attorney for anybody who needs help with a truck accident in Michigan, because he is a polite man, a man of his word and he does what he says. You don't get that with most lawyers. Most other lawyers wanted to take 33 percent or charge $200 an hour, and didn't even care if insurance was there. Losing my girlfriend to a truck crash caused by a trucker who may have been asleep at the wheel was horrible. But at least now I had can lay my head on my pillow, knowing I did the right thing by getting all of the insurance possible for her family. I wouldn't have been able to do this without Steve Gursten's generous help.
BB Rosson from Detroit
My auto attorney Steve Gursten is absolutely wonderful. I was actually referred to him from another law firm. He is caring and very prompt with responding to any concerns that I may have had. He actually makes you feel as if you are his only client. He is very aggressive and knows his stuff; and talks with you in understanding terms (instead of the legal mumble jumbo). I actually call him for any legal questions that may arise - even not car accident related - and he takes the time to help. I would recommend anyone at anytime to Steve Gursten and Michigan Auto Law.
Jerry Treadway from Monroe
Steve Gursten is the BEST in Michigan! And I would know, I've been to them all. I had signed on six different attorneys over time and
Chuck Frick from Grand Rapids
I had a hard time finding an attorney in my local area that specialized in auto law, or even a lawyer who'd handled one or two auto accidents. I was referred to Michigan Auto Law by another lawyer who considered them to be the experts in Michigan. It's true - these attorneys know their stuff. Now I've referred two people from my work for the same reason. They made it very convenient for me - they handled everything for me including doctor visits required by the insurance company. I was very happy with the settlement for my auto accident case. My lawyer Steve Gursten went for the max, but he honored my personal request to not bring hardship to any individual person. Steve is friendly and professional, and I've really enjoyed working with him.
Sarah Graves from Detroit
These were the first attorneys I had ever worked with and I felt the whole Michigan Auto Law team was dedicated to me. They were always very kind and responsive. Steve Gursten was very good at explaining everything that was going to happen and what to expect every step of the way. He always made me feel comfortable that if I didn't understand something, I could call at any time - whether I thought the question was silly or not. And Steve always called back within hours. I would highly recommend this attorney and the entire team for people involved in car accidents.
Anne Saunders from Romulus
Michigan Auto Law took my case when other law firms would not. Although I did have serious personal injuries from my car accident, my main concern was my lost wages as part of my no fault benefits. Your law firm made sure that I received that compensation. Thanks to my attorney, I didn't lose my home.
Dave O'Connor from Plymouth
Michigan Auto Law represented a friend of mine a few years back. She recommended this law firm to me. After I was injured in a car crash, I walked in here telling Steve Gursten how much I hated attorneys and what they've done to me and how dissatisfied I was with the lawyer that I currently had. He took at least four hours with me in less than one days notice and made me feel very comfortable. He was honest. His integrity, perfect. He put me at ease and made me feel comfortable, which I did not with the attorney I currently had when I came to see Mr. Gursten. Steve made me feel as though I was his only client. Every time I asked him a question, it was not,

I went online and I was searching for a law firm and I initially prayed about finding the right person. I called Michigan Auto Law and they returned my call promptly. Working with Steve Gursten was a wonderful experience. No complaints whatsoever. The first meeting was very informative. It was such a breeze. Everything was such a breeze. It's almost like there are no words to describe it. In getting my no-fault medical bills paid, they were very helpful. The results from my case were outstanding. I would refer other people injured in car or truck accidents to Steve Gursten and I also have referred someone, as of today, to him. I recommend this law firm highly. I feel like my prayers were answered after my car accident.
Ronald Cross from Battle Creek
I'm not the type that would look for a car accident lawsuit. When this situation came about, I was a little nervous, uncomfortable; I didn't really want to deal with law firms. So when we were referred to Mr. Steve Gursten, I was very happy with the outcome. When we had questions and we gave Michigan Auto Law a call, they would respond right away. Anytime we had problems, questions, situations, they were there. They answered my questions regarding auto insurance, and even made a couple calls for me to have the process taken care of. It was just a wonderful experience throughout this difficult time in my life. I was very content with the law firm employees. I expected a lot from this law firm. They came through. I'm just happy with this law firm and proud of what they did. They even gave me a different perspective of auto accident lawyers. I'm very satisfied with the outcome of my lawsuit and my settlement. I'm very happy with the relationship I have with Mr. Gursten and those who were helping him. As a matter of fact, I've already recommended Steve twice, and without a doubt, I will do so in the future.

We were sitting at a red light and I looked in the side view mirror and I noticed that the person was not going to stop and in turn, they hit us. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and when I was there, I realized that my injuries were more extensive than I thought and it was suggested to me that I contact an auto accident lawyer. Steve Gursten was recommended to us by my son, who had did his homework on Steve and he said he was one of the best in the state. My first impression of the Michigan Auto Law staff was that they always made me feel comfortable. They answered all of my questions very directly. They had all of the answers and they made me feel that I was well taken care of. My attorney Steve Gursten made me feel very comfortable. He made me feel very confident. He was very personable and he really cared about me; and he cared about what happened. I was extremely happy with my car accident settlement. It was definitely a lot more than I had ever dreamed of. It was life altering. I would definitely refer Michigan Auto Law to any friends or family. As a matter of fact, I'd be insistent they go to them.
Michael Mapes from Pinckney
I was in a serious truck accident. But this was no accident. The trucker who hit me had had his license suspended - 11 times previously. He was speeding and most likely fell asleep at the wheel. All of that carelessness left me with traumatic brain injury and life-long disability. My life totally changed in an instant. But Michigan Auto Law helped return my life to as close to normal as possible. I read a lot about Steve Gursten's safety efforts. Not only does he fight for truck accident victims like me, but he is an activist that calls for a safer trucking industry throughout the United States. This hit close to home ... With trucking companies trying to cut corners and forcing their drivers to break federal safety rules, I was the one who got hurt. Steve is one of the best truck accident attorneys in the entire country, yet he spoke to me like a normal person - and didn't bombard me with a lot of legal ease. Steve was kind and respected me, and he went to bat for me. After all of the different legal proceedings we attended, Steve spelled out exactly what was happening with my truck accident lawsuit, so I understood and felt like I had control. When I had any question, Steve was more than happy to answer me. My phone calls were always returned - even on nights, holidays and weekends. For a lawyer, that is impressive. Having Steve Gursten as my truck accident attorney has been an incredibly good experience. The settlement I received is plenty to cover my rehabilitation and medical costs, and hopefully to set an example to greedy trucking companies - that such careless behavior and preventable truck crashes cannot be tolerated.
Ruth Meadows from Southfield
I was referred to Michigan Auto Law through another attorney. You know when you meet someone, and you feel you've known this person all your life? That's the feeling I got from day one when I met my attorney Steve Gursten. He would even ask you questions just to test to see if you really understood what he was saying. Each time I called the law office, I always got a prompt returned call. Even though I met him through a tragic car accident, he was an excellent lawyer. He was very informative, very respectful and very, very knowledgeable. Steve went above and beyond with trying to get the biggest settlement he possibly could, which he did achieve under the circumstances. My daughter was fatally injured in an auto accident. She was a passenger. She never regained consciousness. That was Christmas eve of 2005, and she passed away Christmas day. The settlement in this case will benefit my grandchildren. Miles is 9 and Madison is 7; so we have a college scholarship fund set up for them. Steve would be the first that I would refer any of my friends to if the need arises. And if anyone in my family needed him, he would be the first person. Even if it was a lawsuit outside of his specialty of auto law, I would call him for advice
Lynda Nunez from Riverview
My husband was killed in an automobile accident involving a gravel hauler truck on the freeway. The left front steer tire of the gravel hauler blew on I-75 near the Rouge River bridge, and the truck hit my husband's car, trapping him between the retaining wall and the gravel hauler. Steve settled my husband's case out of court so I didn't have to go through a trial. If you've done your homework and investigated attorneys, Steve is the obvious right choice.

On May 1, 2008 I had been in a motorcycle accident where my back was broken. Although I am recovering, the people by my side (other than my family) were the attorneys at Michigan Auto Law. My case wasn't an easy one, and there were problems from day one. However, this law firm worked around the clock to help me received a settlement. They respected my rights and privacy and their commitment was not only to help me receive a motorcycle accident settlement, they were also concerned and helpful regarding my quality of life._ My motorcycle accident attorneys Steve Gursten and Jeff Bussell fought for me throughout my lawsuit. I truly trust them.
Judith Brown from Harper Woods
My 87-year-old mother-in-law was driving to her retiree luncheon in Harper Woods. When she was stopped at a red light on Kelly Road, a large semi-truck rear-ended her and killed her instantly. The loss of my mother-in-law was devastating for the family. We chose Michigan Auto Law to handle her wrongful death case because the firm exclusively handles Michigan auto accident cases, and they have more accolades and successful cases than any of the competing firms. Even better, our lawyers Larry Gursten and Steve Gursten were very compassionate throughout the entire case. They were always available when we had concerns and they truly helped us understand the complicated legal process following a truck accident, with all of the given insurance issues. Some lawyers we interviewed told us that the loss of an 87 year old wasn't worth much, but Larry and Steve got us almost every penny there was from the trucking company's insurance carrier. I would refer Michigan Auto Law to my friends and family or anyone whose life has been turned upside down by a truck crash.
James Diaz from Caro
Larry Gursten, Steven Gursten and the whole Michigan Auto Law office did an outstanding job for my family. They were concise, personable and put my needs first. They were very communicative and let me know about any changes in my case almost instantly. When it came to the car accident settlement, they thought of my daughter's needs first and how to plan for the future. I've never dealt with a better group of professionals and attorneys.
Steve Bixby from Livonia
I was proceeding through a green light and a semi truck ran a red and crashed into me. A family friend and renowned attorney referred me to Michigan Auto Law and specifically, Steve Gursten and Larry Gursten, because they handle more truck accidents than any law firm in Michigan. Larry made us feel very comfortable because he was so competent. When we didn't know where the road was going, he led me and my wife. He was just so dead-on with his information and able to guide us. He took care of everything and was there to answer questions. It was very important that Larry made us feel comfortable and that everything was going to be alright, because my wife was uncomfortable with pursuing a lawsuit. Larry knew so much about my injuries, too. I felt like I was talking to a doctor at times. He made it feel like it was more about me than a lawsuit. Steve Gursten was just as amazing. He explained everything and he makes you feel very comfortable. Our insurance company would play their games throughout this process. We would turn to Steve and he took care of it. The defense tried settling for much less than what Steve thought my personal injuries were worth. I had a closed-head injury, memory loss, speech difficulties and neck and lower-back problems. Steve fought for us - hard. I would absolutely refer Steve Gursten and Larry Gursten to anyone trying to recover from a truck accident. These truck accident attorneys made us feel like family. We wouldn't have made it through this process if they hadn't made us feel so comfortable.
C.K. from Macomb Township
When I was first injured in a car accident, I thought it was important to find a lawyer that spoke Arabic and shared my cultural background. However, I soon realized Michigan auto laws and the no-fault act is so specialized and complicated, that it became more important to hire an expert. In working with Larry Gursten and Steve Gursten, I was delighted to find true auto accident experts who were willing to fight for my rights and help me recover. But beyond being specialists in their field, the Gurstens and the whole staff at Michigan Auto Law were patient, polite, responsive and understanding. Larry Gursten even returned my calls at night or on weekends. They were easy to talk to and incredibly respectful. I also never felt like I was being rushed through the legal process. I could not have asked for more from a law firm. I would refer loved ones and friends to Michigan Auto Law, because I know they will be treated with the utmost respect, caring and competence, like I was.
Gina Cucchiara from Port Huron
My lawyer Steve Gursten is very knowledgeable about auto law and what was involved with my type of case. Steve and the entire office at Michigan Auto Law are very personable. They are wonderful. Steve and Larry Gursten are truly compassionate, and return calls within hours - not days. The results of my settlement were way beyond what I expected. I gave one figure, and Steve shot higher. I have been very happy with this law firm, and will definitely continue referring auto accident victims their way.
Ed Falkowski from Gladwin
Larry Gursten, Steve Gursten and the whole Michigan Auto Law team did a great job for me. I had never worked with an attorney before and expected them to be stuffy. Instead, the whole team was personable and professional, and I trusted them right away. They always called right back - Larry even called me from vacation. They know what they're doing and are the most down-to-earth attorneys I could imagine.
John Wilcox from Lansing
When someone I love was hurt in a car accident I wanted the best auto attorney I could find. So I did my research. From my perspective, securing the best legal representation would equate to the best care she could receive. The impressive reputation and results of Michigan Auto Law brought me to their door. Not only was my perception of Mr. Gursten's legal talent right on point, but to that ability, he combines good intentions, empathy, people skills and professionalism. He is at the top of his specialty.
Ted Pixley from Battle Creek
As both an attorney and client, I'm not your typical consumer. My expectations were definitely exceeded by Michigan Auto Law. The attorneys at this law firm are extremely talented, and their reputation is well-founded.
Kesha Gibson from Taylor
It's very hard for me to trust people, and I was very skeptical. The moment I met my attorney, Larry Gursten, I knew immediately that I could trust him and felt the same when I met my other attorney, Steve Gursten. I thank God for them every day. They are truly beautiful people. I couldn't have found better attorneys.
James Gingrich from Monroe
When I was hit as a pedestrian, everyone fell down on me - everyone. No one was there for me except Steve Gursten and Larry Gursten, and my doctor. I have suffered through horrible experiences - but this car accident and the aftermath was much worse. Working with the Gurstens made things painless. They were the first break I had in a long time. They got me the best settlement possible. I can't say enough about Larry, Steve and the whole team. I would recommend these attorneys to anyone (and have several times).
M.M. from Wayne County
I was very happy with the attorneys at Michigan Auto Law. They are very responsive and all great to work with, and genuinely nice people. They made my decision a very quick and easy one, and made me feel very comfortable from the start, even though I was recovering from a serious car accident.
Barbara Koepinger from Brighton
I was going through a lot and even though I didn't feel like it, I knew I needed to talk to an attorney. A truck had cut into my lane and cut me off. I hit two guardrails and totaled my car, and I'm still dealing with my personal injuries. Everybody at Michigan Auto Law was really nice. They make you feel comfortable and you can call them anytime you want to. Secretaries and attorneys always responded to my e-mails and phone calls. I would sure recommend this law firm to someone who was in my situation because they make you feel comfortable and take care of everything for you. You just need to worry about getting well.
Jennifer Barnett from Shelby Township
I was very impressed with my lawyers Larry Gursten and Steve Gursten right from the start - their expertise, knowledge, compassion - everything about them. The whole law firm was so supportive and responsive every step of the way. Everything was dealt with right then; they never put things off or prolonged anything following my car crash. Their honesty meant more to me than anything else, and it's so hard to find in people anymore. Everything was completely up front - even stuff that's hard to hear - they were honest about everything with very clear expectations. I knew they were giving their all and doing their very best for me - and my settlement was better than expected. I just can't say enough about these guys or thank them enough. Michigan Auto Law is only law firm I would trust.
Tammy Hutchison from West Olive
I was rear-ended by a semi-truck at a stop sign in Grand Haven, Michigan and sustained a concussion, whiplash and some head trauma in the accident. My husband found Michigan Auto Law on the Internet and we were drawn to them because Larry Gursten and Steve Gursten are the best car accident lawyers in the state of Michigan. We had never gone to an attorney, so we didn't know what to expect. Larry was very thorough, so we understood exactly what was going on with our case and its timing. was also our attorney. Every time we got together, he seemed to be very interested in us - not just our case - but how we were doing. Steven Gursten was the same way. But one person from the Michigan Auto Law team who really helped me was our paralegal, Joyce Luxon. During the time of my car accident case, my daughter died. Joyce was very compassionate and sensitive to my needs, as my injuries worsened from stress and depression. I never expected such kindness from a law firm. Regarding our case results, I'm very, very happy with the outcome. And the things going on in my life, like dealing with chronic pain, have been taken care of. We have already recommended Michigan Auto law to people we know. It was the best choice possible for a Michigan personal injury law firm because of the expertise and compassion they provided us.
Sherrie Lacey from Adrian
I didn't know anything about no fault insurance, so I searched the internet and found Michigan Auto Law. I was very upset after I was rear ended. My car was ruined. I was not able to work because I had neck, back and shoulder injuries, and a traumatic brain injury. I was wondering,
James Fairley from Jackson
Steve Gursten and Tom James are the best of the best truck accident lawyers. Nobody has more passion and knowledge about Michigan auto laws, and this is exactly what I needed after I was injured in a truck accident. Combine that with compassion for their clients and ability in the courtroom, and they are unbeatable. Steve and Tom make you feel like a member of their families, which you are during a trial. As far as I'm concerned, they did what my wife and I thought was impossible. They found and won a record judgment in a county not known for large judgments - Jackson County. Thanks again to Steve Gursten, Tom, Larry, Elize, Laurie and all the rest of the staff of Michigan Auto Law, who had a part in this great victory. Thank you very much, Jim and Kim Fairley.
