Steve Gursten on ambulance chasing “in the digital age”

Michigan Lawyers Weekly discusses unethical ways injury attorneys are soliciting crash victims

Steve Gursten  tells Michigan Lawyers Weekly about the negative repercussions that ensue when a small group of injury attorneys in Michigan call, visit and mail solicitations to accident victims shortly after a car accident.

Gursten said he wants it all to stop, as it hurts accident victims and gives personal injury attorneys a bad name. “Cappers and runners are against the law, so these law firms can get non-lawyers to do it. Everyone knows who they are, and no one wants to name names,” he said. “It’s been building over the past couple of years and it’s exploding now. It’s become an industry. And it’s all legal.”
