Steve Gursten, a car accident attorney and partner of Michigan Auto Law, tells carinsurance.com that lawmakers aiming to make safer driving laws are actually trailing the rate of technology.

Gursten also discusses the dangers of distracted driving, such as texting while driving and using the Internet. He says, “But my own experience as an accident lawyer is the vast majority of car accidents are preventable and many if not most are caused by people exercising dangerously bad driving judgment.”
