#SafeDriveSummer is our campaign to inspire Michigan drivers to drive safely this summer – and every summer. The 100 Deadliest Days for drivers of all ages – but especially teenagers – is the period of time between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It accounts for approximately 30% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Michigan for the entire year. If we educate and work together, we can save lives.
To be a part of #SafeDriveSummer, we invite drivers like you to take the pledge to drive safely this summer at the bottom of this page. This includes eliminating all distractions and keeping your full attention on the road. Our hope is to get people of all ages to recognize the importance of practicing safe driving and encourage their friends and family to do the same. This will make the roads safer for everyone.
What is Michigan Auto Law’s #SafeDriveSummer?
The goal of Michigan Auto Law’s #SafeDriveSummer campaign is to raise awareness about the most dangerous time of year to drive in Michigan. Our hope is that together we can prevent car accidents and save lives. Michigan traffic fatalities have been on the rise in recent years, and the 100-day period between Memorial Day and Labor Day has consistently proven to be especially deadly for drivers.
#SafeDriveSummer gives Michigan residents who have taken our pledge the opportunity to win a Visa gift card of $250. Two winners will be selected in September 2025. Michigan Auto Law will also be donating $500 to The Kiefer Foundation, an organization that sets out to end distracted driving in memory of Mitchel Kiefer, a victim of distracted driving.
For extra entries to our Visa Gift Card drawing, you can do the following:
