No. 1: N HAMILTON ST @ WASHTENAW AVE, Ypsilanti
This is the first year that this intersection has made the list of Washtenaw County’s Most Dangerous Intersections.
In 2024, this interchange had 132 total crashes and 7 injuries.
No. 2: STATE ST @ ELLSWORTH RD, Ann Arbor (Roundabout)
This busy roundabout bordering Ann Arbor and Pittsfield Township again lands near the top of the list of Washtenaw County’s Most Dangerous Intersections.
Fortunately, there was a 32% drop in total crashes at this interchange in 2024, falling from 126 in 2023 to 85 in 2024. In 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019, there were 93, 79, 69 and 154 accidents, respectively.
There were 5 injuries in 2024 – just as there were 5 injuries in 2023. In 2022, there 7 injuries. And in 2021, 2020 and 2019, there were 1, 6 and 8 injuries, respectively.
