More Information On The Top 2 of Muskegon County’s Most Dangerous Intersections
No.1: HARVEY ST @ STERNBERG RD, Fruitport Township
The intersection of Harvey St. and Sternberg Rd. in Fruitport Township tops Muskegon County’s list of Most Dangerous Intersections in 2024. There were 34 total crashes at this interchange in 2024, up slightly from 32 in 2023. In 2022, 2021, and 2020, there were 35, 36, and 23 crashes, respectively.
Injuries in 2024 increased slightly to 4 from 2 in 2023. There were 3, 5 and 4 injuries in 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively.
No. 2: US 31 @ SHERMAN BLVD, Muskegon
In 2024, there were 34 total crashes here, down from 42 in 2023, from 38 in 2022, 43 in 2020 and 64 in 2019.
Injuries were up slightly in 2024, up from 2 in 2023 to 4 in 2024. There were 7 injuries in 2022 and 8 in 2020.
This intersection did not make the list in 2021. Injuries data for 2019 is not currently available.
