No. 1: US 131 @ WEALTHY ST, Grand Rapids
This busy Grand Rapids intersection tops the list for the ninth straight year.
However, the good news is that in 2024 there were only 73 total crashes at this interchange – which is the lowest in the last 6 years. In 2023, there were 112 total crashes, and in 2022 there were 98. In 2021, 2020, and 2019, there were 134, 114 and 123 car accidents, respectively.
There were 12 injuries in 2024, which were down from 28 in 2023. Injuries in 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019 were 10, 26, 23 and 18, respectively.
No. 2: 54TH ST SW @ US 131, Wyoming
There were 70 Total Crashes, 1 Fatality and 7 Injuries at this interchange in 2024.
The intersection did not make the 2023, 2022 and 2020 lists of the Most Dangerous Intersections in Kent County.
However, it did rank 5th on the 2021 list with 61 Total Crashes and 16 Injuries.
