No. 1: SPRINKLE RD @ CORK ST (NORTH OF I 94), Kalamazoo (Roundabout)
The roundabout at Sprinkle Rd at Cork St (North of I-94 tops the Kalamazoo County’s Most Dangerous Intersections in 2024 with 49 total crashes, which is down from 59 in 2023 – and down from 68 in 2022. In 2021 and 2020, there were 36 and 33 motor vehicle accidents at this interchange, respectively.
Unfortunately, injuries here in 2024 were at their highest in the last 5 years. In 2024, there were 15 injuries, compared with 7 injuries in both 2023 and 2022 and 4 and 6 injuries in 2021 and 2020, respectively.
No. 2: DRAKE RD @ W K L AVE, Kalamazoo
There were 41 total crashes here in 2024, up slightly from 39 in 2023. In 2022, 2021 and 2020, there were 60, 43 and 33 collisions, respectively.
Injuries increased slightly to 10 in 2024 from 8 in 2023. In 2022, 2021 and 2020, there were 12, 11, and 6 injuries, respectively.
