The underlying traffic accident data analysis is compiled using motor vehicle accident reports filed by local law enforcement and police departments throughout Michigan.

No. 1: AIRPORT RD @ BOARDMAN RD, Blackman Township
This intersection next to a busy freeway just west of downtown Jackson remains in the top spot on the list this year.
Unfortunately, the upward trend in automobile accidents we saw in 2020 has continued. In 2021, total crashes were 40, up from 29 in 2020 and 19 in 2019.
No. 2: ANDREW AVE @ BOARDMAN RD, Blackman Township
This intersection jumped from #8 in 2020 to #2 in 2021 on this years list of Jackson County’s Most Dangerous intersections.
Significantly, total crashes here more than doubled between 2020 and 2021, going from 15 to 40.
