One client shares her experience with our attorneys after a serious car accident
As 2017 begins, I want to share something from Tonya Williams of Detroit. I don’t normally post our testimonials from our clients on this blog (you can read over 500 real reviews from actual clients, by name and city location here), but what Tonya wrote fits in with a series of blogs I’ve written recently about how many illegal solicitation law firms are now operating, in contacting car accident victims around Metro Detroit, how they handle their cases and what happens to their clients.
Here’s what Tonya had to say:
“I had two horrible experiences with other lawyers before I got to Michigan Auto Law. I first went to one of the lawyers who advertises a lot. They lost my entire packet – my entire file – and never found it. They made me feel like I was totally insignificant and I felt like I was on an assembly line. I’m getting teary thinking about it. Now when I see the commercials, I get nauseated.
My mother and father then told me to see Larry Gursten, because he was their attorney years ago. I said I’m going tomorrow and that’s what I did. I’m so happy I arrived here! Once I told Larry’s secretary who I was, he stopped the call he was on and spoke with me. He remembered my parents. When I came in, he took the time to meet with me face to face and assured me he would help me. I breathed a sigh of relief because I felt like I was valued. Larry told me how the process would work. Not only did they take my case but I had several attorneys on it.
Jordan Jones started out my case. Jordan got the insurance company to reimburse my medical bills from all of my doctors appointments and treatment. I was able to get a check for my household services and all of those things from the insurance companies, who were originally giving me trouble. I needed this help to start my recovery, as I was off from work for six months and trying to care for my children. I liked Jordan very much. He was extremely helpful.
From there, Larry thought Alison Duffy would be a good fit for my litigation attorney. Alison is smart. She made me feel like I was her only client. She kept me informed about what was happening every step of the way. I didn’t feel lost in the shuffle. If I needed to talk to her, all I had to do was e-mail her. I got a response every single time. She was on top of everything that was going on and she was hands on.
I was having problems with my blood pressure and stress, but she was able to keep me calm by informing me about what to expect and how the law works. She made it plainly known that she wasn’t having the insurance adjuster mistreating me. She was very matter of fact with the defense attorneys and insurance adjusters and had my back! She kept things moving for me.
