Michigan Auto Law attorney Steven Gursten will share strategies and tactics that can literally add millions of dollars to a truck accident settlement during an American Association for Justice CLE webinar today
I’ve now handled well over 300 truck accident cases over the last 20 years. There are strategies and tactics that many attorneys can use – especially those who don’t have a lot of experience litigating serious truck injury cases – to literally add millions of dollars to a semi-truck accident settlement on behalf of a very seriously injured client.
I’ve also litigated truck wreck cases in Michigan and in several states across the nation. In doing so, I make it my personal mission to uncover every single safety violation that occurred, and every single act of negligence by the at-fault trucking company that leads to these crashes. All of these truck accidents are preventable. Most wrecks are caused by trucking companies that hire unfit and unsafe truck drivers with very serious medical conditions, drug and alcohol addictions and with truck fleets that are terribly unmaintained. Trucking companies make these dangerous choices in the name of a bigger bottom line. They need to put trucks on the road, even when the truck is dangerously out-of-service or the truck driver so unsafe that he or she should not be put behind the wheel.
I’ve shared my litigation and trial strategies many times on this legal blog (here are 7 lessons from a $34 million truck accident settlement and $3.5 million jury verdict: With a little help from my friends).
Tips for an 8-figure semi-truck accident settlement for attorneys
Today, I’ll share what attorneys can do to recover multiple 8-figure settlements and trial verdicts in truck accident injury and wrongful death cases across the country — during a webinar hosted by the American Association for Justice. I will be accompanied by my friends Joe Fried of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael Leizerman of Toledo, Ohio.
Joe and Michael are my fellow Co-Founders of the Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable, a national trucking law firm that we started together with the aim of pooling our extensive knowledge in truck accident litigation to help people hurt in these catastrophic wrecks.
The webinar runs from 3-4:15 p.m. EST and counts for CLE credits in multiple states.
During the presentation, we will explore tactics to improve settlements in truck litigation, from how attorneys can identify and create conflicts between different insurance layers, to helping lawyers find the core truths that exist behind every serious truck accident.
I want to stress that this webinar isn’t about the basics and rules of trucking litigation. Instead, it focuses on ways lawyers can improve truck accident settlements – particularly when negotiating a settlement in a catastrophic truck accident injury or wrongful death case.
If you’re a Michigan attorney, you can register here. The cost is $99 for Michigan Association for Justice attorneys and law firm staff and $129 for non-member attorneys.
Joe, Michael and I formed the Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable law firm in 2014, and recovered the top-reported truck accident settlement in the country that year.
