Steve Gursten’s $6.2 million truck accident settlement in Michigan Lawyers Weekly
Out-of-state wrongful death settles for $6.2 million just before trial
Steven Gursten of Michigan Auto Law recently settled a truck accident wrongful death for $6.2 million. Steve has received the top-reported truck accident settlement in Michigan over many years, including the highest truck accident settlement of any Michigan lawyer. He’s also received the top-reported truck accident trial verdict over many years in Michigan.
Steve, who is current President of the Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyers Association and a past-chair of the American Association for Justice Truck Accident Litigation Group, also devotes a portion of his practice to working with other lawyers out-of-state. This latest settlement involves an out-of-state wrongful death where Steve was brought in by local counsel for trial.
Steve previously was named a Leader of the Law in Michigan for his work on improving commercial truck safety on our roads.
A confidentiality clause prohibits further details. The Michigan Lawyers Weekly newspaper ran the settlement in its May 30, 2016 Verdicts and Settlements edition.
