Hour Detroit honors Alison Duffy of Michigan Auto Law, based on her rankings from Michigan Super Lawyers
Alison Duffy made legal headlines in 2015 with a $4.6 million verdict against CVS on behalf of one of her brain injured clients. CVS only offered $300,000 to settle the case before trial, and never increased its settlement offer during trial.
And now she’s starting off 2016 with a bang. Alison is being recognized by Hour Magazine as a Top Female Attorney in Michigan for the year.
Alison will appear in the March 2016 edition of the magazine. The honor is based on Super Lawyers rankings of attorneys throughout the state. Alison is already recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer.
Since I work with Alison, I recognize people might think I’m somewhat biased to write wonderful things about her. So I thought I would let one of Alison’s clients, Melinda Soupis of Livonia, say it instead. Melinda says it better than I can, anyways:
“My car insurance company stopped paying my benefits after my car accident. I was confident that my lawyer Alison would protect me and she did. She made sure the insurance company took care of me and got my benefits back to me. She is wonderful. She always made me feel secure in all of my decisions throughout the lawsuit and she always had my best interest in mind. Alison is kind, compassionate and she’s very knowledgeable in the auto law. She is not one of those lawyers who wants you for the dollar and doesn’t care who you are. I would recommend her to any family or friend of mine.”
Here’s what another client, Frankie Hunter-Lipsey of Detroit, said about Alison after her automobile accident:
“I was in a car accident and my injuries prevented me from working. I lost so much. I was close to losing my home. It had been in my family for generations, but my lawyer Alison helped me stay in my home by getting me a great settlement. I felt like Alison was one of my daughters. We can talk about everything. She is up front and down to earth. She’s a go-getter. Alison helped me tremendously by always letting me know what was going on and being available when I had questions. She comforted me and she helped me get my No Fault benefits so I could recover from my injuries. I wouldn’t be where I am today with a roof over my head and a strong future without Alison. I’m so grateful.”
Alison is a proven fighter. She believes in her clients, and she’s willing to put in enormous hours into protecting them. She has enjoyed incredible courtroom successes at this stage in her legal career. In fact, Alison has already achieved more trial success and injury settlements then most Michigan attorneys will ever see in a lifetime.
In 2014, Alison was named an Up & Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. You can read more about her background and other honors here.
