New Year’s Eve safety resources to prevent drunk driving car accidents
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone. I don’t ever want to spoil the fun, but as an auto accident attorney, I always think of safety on these big holidays. While this is a night of celebration and good vibes for the New Year, it’s also one of the most dangerous times for drinking and driving crashes.
This year, 10,839 people will die in drunk-driving crashes, according to MADD. That’s one person killed every 50 minutes and almost double the number of Americans who have died in the entire war in Iraq.
And remember, buzzed driving is also drunk driving. If we can educate people that buzzed driving (i.e., driving after “just a couple”) is unacceptable and can cause serious car accidents, more lives will be saved.
With that, I wanted to share some past blog posts I’ve written all about New Year’s Eve safety.
