Make an appointment with our certified car seat safety technician during Child Passenger Safety Week
As a father, I remember the anxiety I would feel about whether my child’s safety car seat was installed correctly. And as a father who, well, let’s just say is mechanically challenged at putting just about anything together, I definitely remember the anxiety I would feel trying to install these car seats when we would travel.
Michigan Auto Law would like to help reduce those anxieties if you feel the same way. And most important, we want to make traveling in your car with your child as safe as possible.
What better time to do this than Child Passenger Safety Week, which starts September 15, 2013?
To help prevent child injuries due to improperly installed car seats, Michigan Auto Law is offering free child car seat inspections and installations:
When: By appointment, anytime between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Where: Michigan Auto Law, 30101 Northwestern Highway Farmington Hills, MI 48334.
Who: Everyone who is interested can contact us and set up an appointment with our own certified car seat safety technician. You do not have to be a client.
How to make an appointment: Call Michigan Auto Law at (800) 968-1001, or e-mail us at [email protected]
About our car seat safety technician: Michigan Auto Law’s car seat safety technician is certified by SafeKids Worldwide, and has successfully completed the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program. This is a government program and any child safety technician in the U.S. must be certified by SafeKids Worldwide.
The service is free.
Why are we doing this? Car accidents are the leading cause of children being killed  in Michigan, according to the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning. And far too many young children are seriously hurt in car accidents because of insecure car seats that are not properly installed. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), three out of four car seats are improperly installed.
We help people in car accidents. That’s what all the people who work here do, and we can think of nothing as important as making sure your children are as safe as possible.
We hope you’ll take us up on our free inspection, and make sure your car seat is installed and inspected with the utmost care and precision, and according to national safety standards set forth by the government.
Helping to make sure our children are safe when they’re strapped into a car seat is an important part of our overall safety mission at Michigan Auto Law. I’m proud of the safety awards we’ve won, including a Leader in the Law Award by Michigan Lawyers Weekly or our efforts in promoting safety, and giving back to our communities.
We just want to help and provide a small service that may one day make a huge difference for you and those you love.
Like I said above, as a father of two, I know first-hand about the anxiety you might be feeling about that car seat. Yes, my wife still makes screwing in light bulb jokes about my own mechanical abilities. And yes, my overall inability to assemble toys, bikes, and furniture did help me decide I was better suited to the practice of law.
And the really good news is, I am not the certified car seat safety technician here!
We look forward to seeing you.
