DENSO developing active radar safety technology to keep drivers safe

June 21, 2013 by Steven M. Gursten

Southfield automotive supplier DENSO is leading the way in the development of “active safety technology” aimed at preventing car accidents

Our attorneys applaud this metro Detroit company for its forward-thinking initiative in creating what DENSO calls “active safety technology” for your vehicle.

Here’s how it works: Using incredible radar sensors, the “sensing” technology monitors the traffic conditions around your motor vehicle and adjusts your speed. It helps avoid obstacles or people in a crosswalk, and helps prevent your car or truck from drifting into another lane.

Will this be an important part of driverless automated car technology and “Google cars” in our future?

Check out this video of this exciting technology we’re already seeing in vehicles from Ford, GM, Chrysler and others.
