Read why Home-Owners makes our list of the top auto insurance companies, based on how it treats drivers
Today we’re calling out Home-Owners Insurance Company. But unlike how I sometimes call out certain insurance companies, I want to recognize Home-Owners for treating customers who’ve been injured in auto accidents well. Home-Owners made our own insurance attorneys’ list of the top auto insurance companies for 2013.
Here are 3 reasons why:
- Reasonable prices: Among Michigan’s largest auto insurers, the Home-Owners rates were among the Top 5 least expensive in all of the 16 of the major Michigan markets examined.
- Pays out high percentage of premium dollars to customers: When compared with Michigan’s other largest auto insurers, Home-Owners paid out the second highest percentage of premium dollars in claims for its customers after they were in auto accidents. For every premium dollar Home-Owners received from drivers, it paid out $.69 in auto accident claims.
- I don’t sue Home-Owners very much: As a Michigan no fault insurance lawyer, I haven’t had many litigated cases with Home-Owners Insurance Company. That’s a good sign. It means they are providing No-Fault benefits on time and generally doing what they are supposed to do. And it isn’t a function of size; Home-Owners is a smaller player in the Michigan market. The attorneys here do litigate and have quite a number of lawsuits with insurance companies that are of similar size to Home-Owners Insurance Company.
