Steven Gursten is among top 100 Super Lawyers in Michigan
I recently wrote about having 10 attorneys named Michigan Super Lawyers in 2012. That’s more than any other personal injury law firm in the state, and it’s a nice honor. But, as I say after every honor or award, it’s more important as a recognition of caring, and for wanting to protect our clients who have been hurt in auto accidents or treated unfairly by insurance companies. It all flows from that.
Treating the people we are entrusted with helping as attorneys with care, dedication and compassion.
I was recently informed that I’ve been named among the Top 100 top lawyers in Michigan (out of more than 50,000 Michigan lawyers), based upon the highest point totals from Super Lawyers.
What’s more notable is that the top 100 list of attorneys only includes a handful who practice in the field of personal injury law, and of those, only three who handle car and truck accidents and no fault insurance law cases.
Super Lawyers states that their “Top 100… received the highest point totals in the Michigan nomination, research and blue ribbon review process.” Thousands of Michigan attorneys are interviewed to whittle down the list of attorneys to the last 100 Super Lawyers.
It is again, a very nice recognition for all the long hours and hard work that we put in on behalf of the people we work so hard to help.
I was recently asked by a reporter what I thought it meant that out of the of top 100 in Michigan. I said that this shows our relentless focus on trying to be the very best in a very narrow field – helping people injured in auto accidents. And it’s part of our strategy of having other Michigan lawyers and attorneys from around the nation then refer these cases to us as true subject matter experts.
Hey, it sure beats TV, billboards and buses.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Super Lawyers (now a Thomson Reuters publication), it’s a listing of outstanding lawyers in Michigan and in other states. Super Lawyers has an extensive election process that involves peer nominations, evaluations and third-party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 points that include lawyer-peer recognition within the legal community, professional achievement and legal excellence.
Michigan Auto Law attorneys have been selected as Michigan Super Lawyers in the personal injury litigation practice section for seven straight years.
