Michigan Auto Law gets top truck accident verdict in Michigan for 2012

$2.55 million truck accident verdict in Macomb County is highest-reported in Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Michigan Lawyers Weekly has named Steven Gursten and Thomas James’ $2.55 million wrongful death truck accident verdict in Macomb County as the highest reported truck crash verdict in the state for 2012.

The verdict was on behalf of an 83-year-old man named Michael Shekoski. Mr. Shekoski was run over by a truck and killed as he was attempting to legally cross the road on his bicycle.

The Defendants refused to accept any responsibility for the Mr. Shekoski’s wrongful death. They offered $250,000 before trial and $500,000 when the jury was deliberating.
