Videos on how to prevent kitchen fires, turkey fryer fires and preparing your meal without a hitch

Kitchen fires are the leading cause of house fires in the country. And on Thanksgiving, you’re twice as likely to have a house fire than on any other time of the year.

Today I’d like to share this video from the Associated Press on Thanksgiving cooking safety tips. It has practical and understandable advice on how to prevent kitchen fires and prepare your meal safely.

And who could forget last year’s tongue-in-cheek but also very helpful video from William Shatner, on preventing fires from the turkey fryer.

Last but not least, here’s one of our blogs with  a list of 8 tips on how to prepare Thanksgiving dinner safely and prevent a fire from the turkey fryer.

We wish everyone a fun and safe Thanksgiving this year.
