Kevin Seiferheld speaks at national truck lawyer seminar

April 29, 2012 by Steven M. Gursten

For several years now, Kevin Seiferheld has been turning heads with his results in truck accident cases. This week, Kevin was invited to speak to several thousand personal injury lawyers on the subject of how he litigates trucking cases. The seminar is in Atlantic City, New Jersey and is a joint presentation to the New York and New Jersey trial lawyer associations.

The majority of Kevin’s practice is Michigan bus accident and truck accident injury cases. He’s tackling this subject because many attorneys who aren’t familiar with the intricacies of truck accident law, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules and complicated insurance issues that can arise, often try truck and bus cases like they are car accident cases with bigger insurance policy limits. This is a mistake.

Although buses are considered commercial motor vehicles and thus governed by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules, bus cases are a completely different animal. Our lawyers have written about liability in bus accident cases, and the problems injured bus accident victims have when trying to collect their No-Fault insurance benefits, especially in cities like Detroit. These are topics Kevin will cover as well.

Kevin has been a trial attorney for more than 14 years. Over the past few years, Kevin has become recognized as one of Michigan’s best, with several of the top-reported settlements in bus accident and truck accident cases. He has tried cases in most of Michigan’s major circuit courts and has a perfect record appearing before the Michigan Court of Appeals. Kevin is a Michigan Super Lawyer, by surveys of Michigan lawyers, a recognition limited to the top 5 percent of Michigan attorneys.
