The Oakland Press covers the story of Michigan Auto Law file clerk Jon O’Neill, who saved the life of an elderly man who was being dragged by his own pickup truck. O’Neill, 24, of Livonia, was walking with two co-workers when he noticed the truck heading south on northbound Telegraph in Southfield. He acted quickly, running toward the truck and seeing the man’s hand caught in the steering wheel.
O’Neill jumped over him into the driver’s seat and slammed on the brakes, saving the man from being run over by his own pickup truck.
