Truck accident lawyer: How to try a truck case in Michigan

September 21, 2009 by Steven M. Gursten

Steve Gursten tells Michigan Lawyers Weekly: Be prepared to expose lax safety standards as trucking companies continue to cut corners

Steven M. Gursten is featured in a Michigan Lawyers Weekly article on how to try a truck accident case. In the story, Gursten helps other truck accident lawyers  get the most value out of a truck crash case by exposing dangerous safety practices, and how truck accident litigation is different from car accident cases.

Gursten says, “For years the trucking industry has had a model: delay, deny, defend. The reason for that model is that after six months, it’s legal to destroy records such as driver’s logs. If they bog someone down, even while negotiating in good faith, they can get rid of a lot of damaging evidence.”
