Auto accident lawyer tells Michigan Lawyers Weekly that plaintiffs who have heavily borrowed against an anticipated settlement no longer have skin in the game

Steven M. Gursten is interviewed by Michigan Lawyers Weekly on the merits of lawsuit funding. He says car accident victims who leverage too much against their anticipated settlements have no motivation to accept a reasonable offer, because they will recover very little additional proceeds from a settlement. Gursten also lists additional pitfalls of lawsuit funding for auto accident lawsuits.
