Attorney Steve Gursten in Crain’s Detroit Business for large verdict from pedestrian auto accident, despite conservative jurisdiction
Steve Gursten, partner of Michigan Auto Law, is listed in Crain’s Detroit Business for his top 2008 auto accident verdict, Broeren v. Bates. The case involved a pedestrian who was run over by his friend’s pickup truck and thrown head-first into a log cabin. A Macomb County jury returned a $5.6 million verdict to the plaintiff, who sustained traumatic brain injury among several other serious personal injuries.
The award was the highest auto negligence verdict in all of Michigan for the year, according to the a year-end published report by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
