Protecting Yourself

AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE

You are NOT properly protected if you have State Farm automobile insurance. State Farm does not offer underinsured motorist coverage. You pay a small premium to protect your family if the wrongdoer has only a minimal insurance policy limit and the value of you injuries exceed this small policy limit. For instance, if you have injuries valued at $100,000 and a wrongdoer has only a $20,000 policy limit, then your insurance company would compensate you for the additional $80,000.

Tell your insurance agent that you want a minimum of $100,000 to $250,000 in uninsured and underinsured motorist protection. Citizens, Farmers and other insurance companies offer these types of coverage.

Share with those that are important to you that these insurance companies do not allow you to protect yourself and your family from a serious accident caused by a defendant with a low policy limit.

PREVENTION

WEAR A SEATBELT… A person not wearing a seatbelt is 8.4 times more likely to sustain a traumatic brain injury with loss of consciousness in a car crash.

DO NOT MIX ALCOHOL AND DRIVING 50% of motor vehicle accident fatalities involve alcohol. 37% of fatally injured drivers were intoxicated at the time of their crash.

PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILD place children less than 1 year old in rear-facing seats and place children in the back seat away from airbags.
