Michigan Lawyers Weekly features a letter from Steven Gursten, an accident lawyer and partner of Michigan Auto Law. Gursten says that the proposed Senate Bills 0293 and 0294 would “gut Michigan No-Fault protections, especially Michigan No-Fault’s crown jewel, unlimited, lifetime medical benefits.”
The auto insurance industry is pushing the bills under the guise that policy holders would save money on their auto insurance premiums. But Gursten lists quotes from insurance industry officials touting the numerous benefits of Michigan’s current No-Fault system.
