Attorney Todd Berg tells the Livingston Daily that such a move would increase crash severity
A recently release package of senate bills (SB 895-898) would allow drivers to speed up to 80 miles per hour. It would also allow truck drivers to go 10 miles an hour faster than the current speed limit, and drivers to go faster in construction zones.
Michigan Auto Law attorney Todd Berg was featured in the Livingston Daily as a legal expert on the package of bills.
Todd told the reporter, Chris Behnan, that increasing speed limits poses an immediate risk to motorists, as the severity of crashes increases when speed limits are increased.
