Back Injury Diagnostic Imaging

X-rays of the entire spine from multiple angles may be necessary to see bone alignment and check for damage to soft tissue for a back injury or neck injury. Sometimes you may also need CT (computed tomography) or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans to help the doctor better visualize the back injury or neck injury. A MRI may show serious injury to the back. These can include:

Bulging disc
Protrusion or Protruding Discs
Herniation or Herniated Discs
Ruptured Disc

New tests such as SPECT scans can be invaluable in assisting your treating doctors and personal injury lawyers to demonstrate serious micro-fractures that can otherwise be missed.
