The American Association for Justice (AAJ) Michigan Auto Law has been a long standing member and contributor to the American Association for Justice (AAJ), formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA). The mission of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) is to promote justice and fairness for injured persons, protect victims' rights--particularly the right to trial by jury--and to strengthen the civil justice system through education and distribution of information essential for public health and safety. To further that mission, Steve Gursten of Michigan Auto Law currently serves as Chair of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Interstate Truck Litigation Group. Mr. Gursten also serves on the board for the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group and is a frequent speaker and author on topics such as trial advocacy, no-fault, and brain injury cases. Today, AAJ is the world's largest trial bar association including more than 56,000 members, comprised of an international coalition of attorneys, law professors, paralegals, and law students. AAJ offers a free “Protecting Your Rights” e-Newsletter - issued every Tuesday afternoon - as a guide to new policy, issue briefs, and important news articles. Visitors can also read stories of everyday Americans who used the courts to stand up to negligence, malpractice, or greed. We’ve included a direct link below to make this resource available to our visitors as well. AAJ also maintains current product safety consumer news. Anyone interested in learning more about a recalled product or how to keep your family safe may wish to view existing and past archives of AAJ’s Product Safety Consumer News section. |
