Steven Gursten in the Ocala Times on how the dangers of supersports affect younger bikers
Steve Gursten was interviewed by a Florida newspaper Ocala.com, as it’s always motorcycle riding season in Florida.
Steve is one of a handful of national lawyers who handles serious motorcycle accident lawsuits, and the newspaper sought him out for his expert opinion on Supersport accidents.
Supersports are different than traditional motorcycle cruisers, such as Harley Davidsons, in that they have a sleeker design and are much faster.
Gursten told the reporter that because of the supersport motorcycle’s speed and attraction to younger and inexperienced motorcycle riders, they are an “attractive nuisance” and an inherently dangerous product:
“I’ve watched with concern as supersport bikes have increased in popularity over the last decade, particularly among young men who are apt to test the limits of the bike’s capability.”
