Handling First Party Michigan Auto Accident Cases

You are entitled to reimbursement for your medical bills and rehabilitation services associated with injuries you suffered in a Michigan car accident. You are also allowed mileage reimbursement for costs you incur seeking medical attention. If as a result of your personal injury accident you are unable to work, you are entitled to as much as 85 percent of your gross pre-accident earnings up to a maximum amount per month for three years. Cost of living adjustments are made annually on October 1st. If the auto accident resulted in death, the decedent’s family would receive the benefit.

If your injuries hamper your ability to perform normal tasks such as housekeeping, lawn care or other household services, you are entitled to receive up to $20 per day to hire someone to perform these jobs for you. This benefit also is for three years. If the personal injuries you suffer from an automobile accident in Michigan are such that your home or automobile must be modified to accommodate a wheelchair or other special medical equipment, your insurance company is required to pay those expenses as well. In the event of death, your insurance company must provide limited funeral and burial expense benefits. Again all of these benefits are required by law.

Our Michigan Automobile Accident Attorneys are here to insure that you receive all that is available to you under the law of the state.
